Slam Barddoniaeth y Preseli Gweithdy – Preseli Poetry Slam Workshop.

Join Span Arts poet in residence Karen Owen for an informal poetry writing and performance workshop. This bilingual project aims to inspire the people of the Preseli Heartlands to unleash their bardic spirit and write about life in the region, the good, the bad and the ugly!

Participants are invited to come along and perform their pieces at a celebration event ‘The Preseli Poetry Slam’ in Newport Memorial Hall on Friday 19th July 7-9pm.  

No experience is necessary and performance is not obligatory. 

This event if FREE.  Donations to support the ongoing work of Span Arts are gratefully appreciated.

The Preseli Poetry Slam is part of a wider Ein Cymdogaeth Werin – Preseli Heartlands Communities Great Place project, led by the local development charity, PLANED.  

A circle year long program to dive into and liberate the knowing and wisdom deep within you. A regular circle that calls to your soul and encourages you to find your voice, your confidence and your path using poetry, voice, enquiry, movement ceremony and more. This is a journey remembering and liberation, of healing and transformation as you embrace your wholeness and the beauty you are.

Jules is an experienced facilitator of workshops, retreats and women’s circles. She brings a passion and soulful skilled approach to nurture and support other women their own path and journey.
